June 9, 2010--The 2010 Patrick J. Milde Memorial Scholarships were awarded tonight at the annual Roxbury High School Senior Awards night. Michael and Maureen Milde announced this year's recipients: Kristi Costantino-Lycoming College, Corrisa Younghans-Gettysburg College, and Eric Guerci-The Pennsylvania State University. Kristi was a member of the RHS varsity soccer team, Corrisa the varsity basketball team and Eric a member of the State Champion varsity football team.

The first scholarships were awarded in 2002, the year Patrick would have graduated from Roxbury High School. The amount of the scholarship, $2002, is in honor of the Class of 2002. Application for the scholarships was initially open to members of the boys and girls Varsity Soccer and Cross Country teams. Patrick participated on both the RHS Soccer and Cross Country teams. In 2003, members of the Varsity Swimming team were invited to apply for the scholarships in tribute to Patrick's participation as a member of the Roxbury Racers Swim Team. At the 2006 Roxbury Football Fan Club Awards Dinner it was announced that members of the Varsity Football team are now invited to apply for the scholarship. Although Patrick didn't play football, he was his brother Sean's (#23) biggest fan.
