Friends and Family Turn Out for the 8th Annual Patrick J. Milde Memorial Scholarship Golf Outing
June 11, 2010 -- Over 144 golfers, and many more friends and family, turned out at the prestigious Minebrook Golf Course in Hackettstown, NJ to raise money for the Patrick J. Milde Memorial Scholarship Fund. As a result of the annual golf outing, through registration fees, donations and sponsorships, the foundation has awarded 21, $2002 scholarships to Roxbury High School graduating seniors.
Special thanks to this years Emerald Sponsors: Michelle Connolly and Panasonic for their donation and prizes; Mike Jones and Picnics Unlimited for the Deluxe Picnic on the 7th hole, closest to the pin; Mike Szmidt, the world renowned club maker, for donating a set of his hand-crafted clubs; Fred Mundhenk and Family Ford, Inc. for the Ford Focus on the 2nd hole; Jack & Nancy Hurdes, Cheshire Studios, Inc.; Bill Kohler and Kyocera; Mount Airy Resorts.
This was the first year the number of golfers was limited to 144. According to long time supporter and the outing's Director of Golf Operations Bob Heyert, "cutting off registration at 144 really made a difference. The foursomes moved very smoothly over the course."
The Ninth Annual Patrick J. Milde Memorial Scholarship Fund Golf Outing will return to Minebrook GC on June 10th, 2011.
